Pork today is very lean and shouldn’t be overcooked. To check doneness, use a digital cooking thermometer. The U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends cooking roasts, tenderloins, and chops to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F., followed by a 3 minute rest time, resulting in a flavorful, tender and juicy eating experience.  However, we recommend you follow these cooking temperatures for the best eating experience:

PrairieFresh Prime Loins and Tenderloins: 160 degrees F internal temperature
Natural PrairieFresh Premium Pork: 150 degrees F internal temperature



Seasoned Loins

Remove seasoned loin from package.  

For Oven:  Wrap in foil and place on a roasting pan.  Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes per lb. or until the internal temperature of 160 degrees F is reached for PrairieFresh Prime pork and 150 degrees F for Natural PrairieFresh Premium Pork.  Open top of foil during last 5 minutes of cooking to brown.  Remove from oven and let the loin stand for several minutes before slicing.  Ovens may vary.  Adjust cooking times accordingly.

For Grill:  Place on low flame.  Grill until internal temperature of 160 degrees F is reached  for PrairieFresh Prime pork and 150 degrees F for Natural PrairieFresh Premium Pork.  Turn to prevent burning.

For crockpot cooking, please follow manufacturer's instructions for individual crockpot.

Seasoned Tenderloins
Remove seasoned tenderloin from package.

PrairieFresh Prime Teriyaki Pork TenderloinFor Oven:  Wrap in foil and place on a roasting pan.  Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 20-30 minutes per lb. or until the internal temperature of 160 degrees F is reached for PrairieFresh Prime pork and 150 degrees F for Natural PrairieFresh Premium Pork.  Open top of foil during last 5 minutes of cooking to borwn.  Remove from oven and let tenderloin stand for several minutes before slicing.  Ovens may vary.  Adjust cooking times accordingly.

Bacon Covered Loins and Filets
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Remove the plastic wrap and place uncovered loin roast, lean side down in a shallow oven-safe dish. PrairieFresh Prime Pork Loin With Bacon The bacon should be on top of the loin.  Cook roast until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.  Check roast halfway through cooking to ensure bacon is not overcooking.  If you find the bacon is too brown, cover top of roast with aluminum foil for the remainder of cooking.  Remove from oven and let the loin stand for several minutes before slicing.  Oven temperatures may vary, so adjust cooking times accordingly.
