Information Collection and Use
Seaboard Foods collects personal information when you register for the Recipe Club, My Cookbook or visit certain pages in the company's Web sites (www.SeaboardFoods.com, www.PrairieFresh.com or www.DailysMeats.com). We may also ask you for information at other times, such as when you report a problem with our site or services or contact the company via the corporate e-mail address on the Contact Us page. We use this information to supply you with the services you requested. We will contact you from time to time if you signed up for any of our mailing lists. You can always change your preferences for follow-up contact by logging on and unsubscribing to our services.
We ask for personally identifiable information, such as your name, address, and phone number to register for certain parts of our site. However, we do not require you to register to use the public areas of the site. This additional registration step allows you to use more functions, such as the Recipe Club or My Cookbook, within the sites.
We use the information you voluntarily provide and the information we collect automatically to provide you with customized content, fulfill your requests for products and services, contact you, conduct research, monitor traffic on the site and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external uses. We may also share your information with our corporate affiliates.
We also may do research on our users' demographics and behavior based on the information provided to us upon registration, gathered from transaction activity, from our server log files or from surveys. This research may be compiled, analyzed or sold on an aggregated basis, which does not include information identifying individual users.
As we continue to develop our business, we may buy or sell businesses or assets. In such transactions, confidential user information generally is one of the transferred business assets. In the event of a transaction involving the sale of some or all of our businesses, customer and site visitor information may be one of the transferred assets.
When you submit information to the Recipe Club, please remember that when you post your comments they are publicly available. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose anything personal in the Recipe Club section. We reserve the right to post all, part or none of your Recipe Club submission.
We will only provide your contact information to our unaffiliated business partners, such as supermarkets or restaurants, if you have given us permission when you registered with the site.
In the course of doing business, we may employ others to perform functions on our behalf, including packaging and mailing, answering customer questions about products or services, sending postal mail, and processing data. These groups may have access to personally identifiable information; however they are prohibited from using it for other purposes and they are required to maintain all information in confidence.
Seaboard Foods offers its customers choices for the collection, use and sharing of personal information. You may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to view, edit or delete your personal information from our database, and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
